Fan Ho (1931-2016) earned his fame as one Asia’s most beloved street photographers capturing Hong Kong in the '50s and '60s. He aimed to capture the soul of Hong Kong; the hardship and resilience of its citizens.

Fan Ho Photobook: Portrait of Hong Kong is compiled from previously unseen images, derived from Fan Ho's selections from his own original negatives and cropped in his signature style. The flow of images takes you on a journey that loosely travels from west to east of Hong Kong island, from the boat people through construction and modernisation and across the harbour to the Kowloon side, ending in the New Territories and the quiet waters of Hong Kong. After the unfortunate event of his passing, the project was then completed with the help of his family and Sarah Greene.
